Almost all the characters of FFVII will appears in the game with Cloud’s old friend Zack being one of the main character. The story revolve around the relationship between Sephiroth, Zack, Angeal, Cloud and Tseng.
In FFVII, Zack appears in Cloud’s memories as his best friend. Zack is a “Soldier”, basically a genetically modified warrior belong to the corporation, of which he is one of the elite member. Other members in the “Soldier” includes Angeal, who appears to be Zack’s mentor and carries a sword that looks like the one that Cloud will be using in FFVII. It worth mention that Cloud is not even a “Soldier” in Crisis Core, where he is just a normal infantry, however he will eventually meet Zack and fight alongside each other.
