1. 絶対強者
This is the emergency quest in the Village ★★★★ Quests.
2. 幻獣、キリン現る！
Unlockable quest (this came out after I did two Tigarex training in Training School but I am sure there are other ways) and it's one of the iconic monsters of the game, the キリン (Kirin).
Go to area 6 of the snow mountains map to launch the mean looking monster that looks and moves like horse. It only moves in area 6 and 7, so you probably don't have to bring paintballs and save it for more life saving stuff.
The key items to bring are the usual stuff for snow mountains missions, but 強走薬 (Power Juice), 強走薬グレート (Mega Juice), 怪力の丸薬 (Power Pill) and 忍耐の丸薬 (Armor Pill) will prevent you from dying. Mega juices are for you to run without having to worry about your dropping yellow bar (stamina) as Kirin run a lot faster than most monsters. For the same reason, armor pills will make sure you get as little damages as possible since its quite easy to get hit by it. Power pills to ensure that your attack deals maximum damages since you chances to hit the soft spots of the monster are very little (only the head).
Weapons with the fire and water effects are useful here while those with thunder or dragon effects will have no extra damages against the Kirin. Same goes for flash bombs or sonic bombs. So it's basically all about hacking, slashing and running here.
The only way to deal more damages against it is hitting its head and there is almost no way to avoid from getting hurt while you are at it. But there are three chances to do it, when its standing still, right after its thunder attack and when it's making a turn towards you. It will enter rage mode after probably more than a dozen of hit on its head and it's best to just run and wait for the best chance to hit.
3. 雪獅子、二重の咆哮
You up against two ドドブランゴ (Snow Lion) here. Most of the time, they can be found at 6, 7 and 8. Although they do goes to area 1 and the highest ground of 2. The rest in area 3, when you should get your traps ready.
You'll have very little chance when both of them are together in an area, they are just too fast and you won't have enough time to pick yourself up. I find it more effective to focus my attack on one lion, using the paintballs to track it's movement. To make your task easier, their health are not that high compare to when you face them alone in the earlier quest.

4. 猛毒の包囲網
Kill or capture both ゲリョス (Geryos) and it's stronger version ゲリョス亜種. Click here for my strategy against them.
5. 轟竜ティガレックス
Face off with ティガレックス (Tigarex) in the desert. This is slightly easier compare to the one in Village ★★★ emergency quest thanks to the desert's wide open space and the fact that it only stops at area 2, 5 and 9.
Again a weapon with thunder or dragon effect will make your task easier. So does items like 強走薬 (Power Juice), 強走薬グレート (Mega Juice), クーラードリンク (cold drink), 落とし穴 (Pitfall Trap), シビレ罠 (Stun Trap), 捕獲用麻酔玉 (Capture bomb), bombs and flash bombs.
The earlier strategy applies here. To capture it, wait till it limps its way to run away and sleep at area 9 to set up your traps.
6. 死闘！角竜ディアブロス
It's ディアブロス (Diablos), almost a dual horns version of モノブロス (Monoblos) and hence they feature almost the same attacking moves, especially the drunken steps and tunnelling. One big difference between them and in fact the rest of the monsters is that Diablos enters rage mode easily once you hurt it enough and it's movements become a lot quicker.
It's movement areas are 5, 7 and 9. The weapons to carry are those with thunder, dragon and ice effects. Flash bombs are really effective here, not only it will stuns the monster for quite a while, it gives you the perfect chance to set up your bombs. Bring the usual items for desert quest but bear in mind that only シビレ罠 (Stun Trap) works here if you plan to capture it.
The guy has a lot of health, you got to be aggressive if you are to finish the quest in time. Unlike Snow Lion and Tigarex, it's easier to strike your flash bombs here since Diablos is quite slow, and that's the best chance for you to hit it real hard, especially its head, of which the horns can be cut off. Once you have exhausted all your flash bombs, you should be able to get one or two hits whenever the monster is turning around after it's sliding attack.
Once it enter rage mode, it just tunnels and spin attack a lot more, which makes things difficult but the same hit while it's turning strategy is still useful. If it enters area 9, it's even easier since it seems to like standing near the area entrance which give you the chance to hit it a couple of times and jump out of the area before it has any chance of turning at you.
7. 黒き角竜の猛攻
Another ディアブロス (Diablos) in the desert at night (so bring along your hot drinks (ホットドリンク)) but with higher health. It moves in area 5, 7 and 1. My strategy is the same as above.
8. 究極の蟹料理...
It's two ダイミョウザザミ (Daimyou Zazami) in the desert at night. However, their health are quite significantly lower than usual so this is a good chance to grab their items for weapons.
Again, the ever reliable Gread Sword with thunder effects works perfectly well here, there are no other preys in the areas to bother you as well. The giant crabs do appear together in an area sometimes which can make things really difficult for you but make use of the paintballs to track one of them and hit it real hard when you are alone with it.
The areas to meet them are 1, 2, 5, 3 and 9. While this probably is not true, I realized that they will move to one of the smaller areas (3 and 9) when they are dying, and hence your chance to capture them. Just keep in mind that 落とし穴 (Pitfall Trap) won't work against crabs here, so bring シビレ罠 (Stun Trap) and the item to combine them if you plan to catch both.
9. 湿地帯の黒き鎧
Stronger version of グラビモス (Gurabimos) below. It could be in other areas as well but I find it travels a lot in area 4, 5 and 6 of the swamp map. Only weapons with the water effects will deals extra damages to Dark Gurabimos, and it will screams and blows those heat waves a lot more than the normal one. You will also have those poisonous pools of water to worry about. Bomb it if you want to get this done quicker, just strike a flash bomb at it, the monster will then make a spinning attack or screams, after which you have a very short time to place and ignite your bombs.
10. 奇面族を探し出せ！
The easiest quest in the 5 stars quests so far. チャチャブー (Chachabu) are those little creatures that disguise as a large mushroom throughout the map (area 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11).
You can bring your lighter weapons for the task but イャンクック亜種（青）, the green version of Yian Kut-ku is here, a great chance to grab its ears for weapons upgrades.
11. 鎧竜グラビモスの脅威
グラビモス (Gurabimos) belongs to the same breed as モノブロス (Monoblos), バサルモス (Basarumos) and ディアブロス (Diablos), so there is not much differences in attacking styles though グラビモス (Gurabimos) is the biggest in size among all.
Weapons with dragon and water effects will work better here. The items to bring are paintballs (it runs all over the map) and the usual stuff for volcanos quests.
It has a few more attacking styles than its cousins as well, especially the heat waves and sleeping gas. Sometimes it will run at you, slow motion style, and that seems to be the best chance to hit it. Its soft spot is somewhere near its stomach, hitting there repeatedly will crack open its skin to reveal a red flesh and catch it when it struggle to even walk.
12. 皇妃座すは炎の宮殿
This quest will alternate with the following one, only one will appear at a time.
Up against the queen of the volcanos. ナナ・テスカトリ (Nana Tesukatoru) belongs to the dragon breed and just like the Wind Dragon Kusharudaora, is uncatchable and will flies away once you defeated it.
Preparation is the key here, just like any other quest, but it's even more so here. Bring cold drinks and lots of health items obviously; 強走薬 (Power Juice) and 強走薬グレート (Mega Juice) as there are lots of running to do; 活力剤 (Immunizer) because standing near the dragon alone will deplete your health and the immunizer will make you recover faster; flash bombs won't help a lot but it's the only thing that works against it; I am not sure how much this will help but 忍耐の丸薬 (Armor Pill) should give you more protection.
Weapons with dragons and water are more effective here and armors with fire resistance will keep you alive longer. It's areas are mainly 8, 6, 4 and 7, none of them gives you any advantages but 6 and 4 are slightly helpful in that there are not so many lava pools.
I think the best moment to hit it is when it's blowing fire, that will give you at least 5 seconds to attack and sometimes more than that, depending on what it does next. Apart from that, there is not really a fail safe strategy against it. Fortunately, the monster seems to run rather blindly most of the time, and its most frequent attack takes a lot of time to execute and that should give you ample time to recover and use your items. And while it can be risky, if you are really running out of time, you can attack it when its preparing to do one those area bombing as it's rare that these bombs will explode near its body.

13. 旧き時代の守護者
ナナ・テスカトリ (Nana Tesukatoru) again but in the tower map. Head to the last area in the map (area 10) and the show down begins there. The monster won't be flying anywhere and it's quite a spacious arena, so this should be a little easier compare to the quest in the volcanoes.
14. 古の霞龍、オオナズチ
This is one of the most memorable quest for me. オオナズチ or Oonazuchi belongs to the dragon breed but it looks anything but a dragon. However, just like the other dragons in the game, you can't catch or kill it and gives you rare items.
In the forest and hill map, you will need to unlock it in area 9, it will then moves all over the map but spend most of its time at 3, 2 and 4. The entire map is cleared of prey so you'll have plenty of space to take it out. The crucial items to brings are flash and sonic bombs, the former are easy to hit the target and will stun it for quite sometimes, hence your chance to attack; the latter should breaks its invisible mode but I'm not sure how to it just yet. Paintballs will help a great deal, it won't shows you where the monster exactly is but at least you know which area it's in.
Oonazuchi's attacks are relatively straight forward. But sometimes it will be too late to avoid them because the monster launches its attacks in stealth mode and there's no sound or signs that you can refer to. But keep running around in the area and you won't get hurt most of the time.
Most of its attacks will not only reveal its position but also plenty of opening for you to attack. So just run to its side after its attack and start hacking, you'll initially hit the tougher part but since the monster almost alway turn at you, you'll be able to hit its weakest spot eventually, the neck. Probably not the most skillful way but it works well enough for me though you probably had to had a few items snatched by it's frog-like tongue.
15. しじまの向こう
Another オオナズチ (Oonazuchi) for you in the swamp map and at night. It moves in area 5, 6 and 8 only, strategy is the same as above.
Clearing all the quests in Village ★★★★★ Quests will allows you to buy a few more Great Swords and Samurai Blades (instead of having to upgrade them), especially the one with dragon effects. It also allows you to buy another cat for your kitchen and collect more items from Torenya's Boat.
一対の巨影
If you have played some of the Guild Quest, this won't be your first meeting with either リオレウス (Rathalos) or リオレイア (Rathian), both are fiery and poisonous. A weapon with dragon effects will be useful, if that's not available, then anything but fire is good enough. Plus, their health are lower compare to when you're facing any of them alone in multiplayer.
As usual, deal with them one at a time and fortunately they won't be in the same area most of the time, one in area 3, 2 and 4 while the other only in 4 and 5. Bring some flash bombs (閃光玉) to make your task easier and antidotes (解毒薬) just in case you were hit by it's poisonous tail. Which is never a good situation to be in since the monsters will launch a sequence of attacks at you. Hitting the head will deals the most damage and you can do it when they are blowing fire balls. Wait till they are struggling to move if you plan to capture them.
