Monster Hunter 3 (tri) Moga Village

Moga Village will be the base for Single Mode in MH3. It’s on a solitary island and fishing is the main business here. This is also where most of the story in the game happens, hunters will gather here after an invitation from the Village Elder and as you get a chance to find out more about the different characters in the village.

Monster Hunter 3 - Village

Village Elder

The most knowledgeable man in Moga Village and respected even by people from outside the village. Apparently he is gathering hunters to the Guild to find out the real reason behind a series of mysterious earthquakes that are becoming more frequent.

Village Elder’s Son

Taking care of the Resource Warehouse, the future Village Elder knows everything about the Moga Forest (モガの森), where players can gather special items that are requested by the villagers for various rewards. Completing these quests also help you expand the various facilities in the village.

Guild Counter

Monster Hunter 3 (tri) Moga Village Guild CounterGet all your Hunter Guilds quests by talking to the lady (in red) at the counter. As in previous games, players have to pay a certain amount of deposit in order to take on these quests and the Quest Level will increase gradually.

Farm (農場)

Monster Hunter 3 (tri) Moga Village Farm

Probably the most beautiful farm in a Monster Hunter game so far, this is where you can grow herbs for health items, fishing for food, mining and more. By talking to Village Elder’s son, you will get to expand the farm. A farm head (in yellow outfit) is in charge of the field with the helps of Ailus (which you get to name them!). Players need to talk to him in order to get their items planted.

Fishing Harbor (漁港)

Monster Hunter 3 (tri) Moga Village Fishing HarborBy paying her certain amount of money, you can ask the lady owner of Fishing Harbor to fish or hunt for sea monsters with her Hunting Ship. You get to pick the area you want her to go and she will be back with the items after a few days.

Trading Ship (交易船)

A good friend of Village Elder, the captain of Trading Ship will turn the Special Product (特産品) given to you by the Village Elder’s son into valuable trading items. During trading, the value of your Special Product is indicated by a green-colored gauge. You can then select the item you want to trade from Trading Ship, which is indicated by yellow-colored gauge. As long as your green bar is longer than the yellow bar, trading can happens. Also worth noting is that whenever Trading Ship is in the dock, there will be discount for items in the shop.

Restaurant (食事場)

Monster Hunter 3 (tri) Moga Village RestaurantLead by Wandering Cook (さすらいのコック), who apparently wanted to be on the Trading Ship but couldn’t because of sea sick, the Restaurant is where you can up your stamina or skills before going hunting. Just select two items from the the Cooking List and you can start eating once the food is done.

Buy all the basic items here.

Weapon & Upgrade Shop (武器屋&加工屋)

Monster Hunter 3 (tri) Moga Village Weapon & Upgrade ShopWhile you can only buy the basic weapons in the Weapon Shop. You’ll be visiting the Upgrade Shop frequently in order to upgrade your weapons. Players can now preview their weapons and armors before upgrading. The shop owner Dragon Mechanic (加工屋の竜職人) has been making weapons for the Village Elder since young.

My House (マイハウス)

In MH3, you can ask the Ailu helper to decorate your house with items bought from the Trading Ship.
