New Monsters
Four new monsters were revealed, three of them “migrated” from Monster Hunter Frontier (MHF) and one of them, Narugakuruga, is an all new monster to the series.
Narugakuruga
Lightning Dragon (Flying Dragon)

Inspired mainly by leopard, the cunning looking Narugakuruga loves to blend in with the environment and attack from out of nowhere, its main weapon is the long and elastic tail. It has a very sharp hearing abilities, so it will be extremely difficult if not possible at all to move near it without being noticed. The mouth is rather small, so it won’t have special attacks like fireballs but the blade-shaped wings have wide attacking area and are extremely dangerous. The monster moves at lightning speed and will appears in the new Jyukai map. Producer Ryouzou Tsujimoto warned that this will be tough for even the most experienced hunters and can only be unlocked once considerable progress is made.
Yamatukami
Ancient Dragon

Returning monster from Monster Hunter 2 and to appear in the Tower map, this giant squid-like creature can emits Thunderbugs to assist its attack. Hunters can carve items from its back as well.
Hipknock
Flying Dragon

When the MHF map Jyukai was announced, it got many fans of the series to speculate if one of its monsters, Hipknock, will migrate to the small screens as well. And true enough, Capcom did not disappoint as the giant bird and its sleeping gas will make its handheld debut.
One of Hipknock’s major attacks is the sleeping gas, and there are several ways it can blows out those annoying gas. Thanks to its huge wings, the monster is good at flying and can attack from above. But that doesn’t means it has no good ground attacks, it actually moves real fast and can be handy if not having weapons that can act as shield. Another of its attacks to watch out for is the normal length but powerful tail.
Voruganosu
Lava Dragon

Another monster from MHF, Voruganosu looks like a giant fish and swim in the lava of the volcano map. However, like Ganototos, it can move on the ground as well. One of its major attack is spitting lava at its enemies, these lava balls will disperse in all direction once it hit the ground, so just avoiding it may not be enough. The monster is huge, and it sure knows how to take advantage of it, like charging at its enemies or jump up and slam into the ground. More images of Voruganosu can be found at this post.
Enhanced Monsters
Daimyou Zazami Blue

Sub-species and stronger version of the infamous Daimyou Zazami, with the skull of Diablos as its back. Almost all the monsters in MHP 2nd were either improved or given some new types of attacking moves.
Teo Tesukatoru

Teo Tesukatoru and Nana Tesukatoru (below) are one of the most fearful looking monsters in the game for me, and the news that the former will has a longer range of fire breathing is no good at all.
Nana Tesukatoru

Like its friend above, Nana Tesukatoru also gains a new trick, this time explosion around its body while swinging its tail.
Furu Furu

Furu Furu was embarrassingly difficult for me in MHP 2nd. The ugly looking monster can now cover itself in electricity while charging at you.
Geryos

Famous for its (what I called) Blinding Light attack, the poisonous Geryos can now uses its tail to whip at the careless hunters.
Yian Garuruga

Yian Garuruga can now stand up and charge with its head at the hunters.
Ganototos

While its easy to kill, one thing I really hate about Ganototos is it seems reluctant to jump out of the water. The monster can now stand up and spray water while on the ground.
Daimyou Zazami

Giant crab Daimyou Zazami can now raise itself a little and slam on the ground with its giant body, sounds hurtful.
Diablos

Diablos spots a wider attacking range with its horns.
Snow Lion

Snow Lion can be found in the desert map now.
Shougun Gizami

Shougun Gizami subspecies can spray water while moving on ground.
Baba Konga

Baba Konga subspecies gains a new combo attack.

Chachabu becomes much more dangerous.

The Queen of Vespoids is a colorful and larger version of the giant mosquitoes, it also has asid attacks.
