Bandai unveiled Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam Vs Gundam at C3×HOBBY 2008 where its producers said PSP is chosen for its local multiplayer friendly Ad Hoc mode as the 2 Vs 2 is the most important aspect of the title. Check out the minute long trailer, which is also available at the official website, and six new screens after the jump. Apparently, there are still elements that will be in the PSP version and Tokyo Game Show 2008 will be the place for that. The game is coming out this November in Japan.
Capcom is bringing the Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G staff to Yanbaru Okinawa, the northern area of Okinawa with thick forests for some jungle trekking and monster hunting (on the PSP of course). Fans of the series were welcomed to join the 2-day trip co-organized by tour operator JTB. Sounds like fun and I’m amazed at the way Capcom keep the title going so far, previous efforts include a Monster Hunter Festa ‘08, summer course and most recently, a Monster Hunter themed cafe. Also, am I the only one who think this sounds like a research for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd?
If you planned to import Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Tagforce 3 later this month, then you’ll have to wait a little longer as Konami just announced that the game’s released date has been pushed back until further notice due to production delay. Don’t think it will be too long though, if previous delays in Japan is any indication.
Famitsu now has the web version of their report for Sega’s Hatsune Miku: Project Diva online. In the article, they say the Rhythm Mode is simple enough to enjoy and it will be back by original songs from both established and upcoming artists. Success in the Rhythm Mode will earn you items to decorate Miku’s room, the center of the game. Finally these two modes ain’t the only ones in the game and more will be revealed soon.
The official website for the game supposed to be launched few minutes ago, when the count down ended, but I can’t see anything there right now.
Famitsu updated their online version of Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or 2latest report with more info and screens and I actually has the mag in hand now, so let’s check out what’s new. For those unfamiliar with the game, it’s a dungeon management RPG featuring retro graphics and a wacky Destruction God who must dig underground, breed some monsters and maintain a healthy food chain for them to protect himself from the RPG heroes who want to bring peace to the world. Or 2 is a sequel with plenty of new content although the first game is actually quite thin with only 8 stages, so any amount of addition is considered big.
Ikki Tousen Eloquent Fist’s official website received more “Bakunyu” action with another round of updates, a new gameplay movie is added and a couple of characters were revealed.
Another battle video from Dissidia Final Fantasy, this time it’s Jecht Vs Tidus, both from Final Fantasy X. Remember the game is coming out this December in Japan :)
As reported in the earlier Japanese magazine leaks, Falcom continues to search through its huge library of RPG games to port to PSP and Zwei!! is the latest title chosen. To be released on December 11th, Zwei!! is actually an action RPG and a port of a 2001 PC game, of which its sequel is coming out late next month. More details here and three more screens can be found after the jump.
Prinny, the lovable penguin from the Disgaea series is getting its own adventure this November in Japan with Prinny: Orega Shujinkou Deiinsuka? (something like “Prinny: I’m the main character?” or better yet from runboard forum: “Prinny - Is it ok for me to be the main character, dood?“, the illustration above also shows Prinny wearing Laharl’s red scarf). Nippon Ichi, the series’ makers, has a teaser site opened for the title, with full launch on September 5th.
The title, which appears to be a side-scrolling action game, was also revealed in this week’s Dengeki PlayStation (scan after the jump) and listed at several online videogames retailers.
Game Star has more details on the action game. Etna had her favorite sweets stolen and order Prinny to search for the “Ultimate Sweets” or face a punishment more terrible than death… Among the features highlighted are the craziest difficulty level (apparently a challenge from NIS to action gamers of the world), 200% better pixel graphics, play data exchange (to show off your fascinating skills), plenty of hidden stuff for multiple play through and downloadable content (new maps and bosses) in future.
As shown in the hi-res scans, the graphics are indeed great, especially the details in the background. Time to vote for this in NIS America’s Lord Pram’s Wish List.
