Bandai updated Naruto Shippuuden: Kizuna Drive's with some information on “Four Man Cell Action”. The system basically allows players to fight monsters with three other team members. Also shown are screens for “Kizuna Link” which allows players to team up with others to deal huge damage to a dying enemy. The multi-player focused game is set for release in Japan sometime this year.

.hack//Link Getting Substantial Improvement From Demo

This is why we have been getting demo of upcoming Japanese PSP games way early than their actual release date. Like Senjou no Valkyria 2 (aka Valkyria Chronicles 2) and God Eater before, CyberConnect2 is making a of improvements for .hack//Link, the final game based on the long running series.

The enhancements are minor stuff to make the game user friendlier and also battle system fine-tuning but is long so this should make the final game a much better experience when it comes out next week in Japan.

Only three weeks to go for it’s big release in Japan, Bandai reveals more features of Gundam Assault Survive. In the Mission Mode, you can also enjoy the stories of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam 00 from the perspective of your rivals. Graham (00, shown above) and Athrun (SEED) views are shown in the latest screens below (more after the jump). Also reveals are Skills and Titles you can purchase from the Shop, where you can also buy parts to customize your MS. Finally Replenishment Point is where friendly mechs can help you repair your MS.

New Multi Raid 2 Trailer Show Off Branching Storyline

Koei released this updated trailer for Shin Sangoku Musou: Multi Raid 2 re-introducing many of the new features and also the branching storyline in Story Mode, which now allows players to enjoy two possible scenarios with its branching storyline. The game will be out in less than three weeks’ time in Japan.

Princess Yggdra In Knights in the Nightmare

Fans of Sting’s works will be happy to know that Princess Yggdra Yuril Artwaltz from Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone will have a special scenario in Knights in the Nightmare if you have the save data of the former in your memory stick. Game will be out for PSP in Japan this April, the new PSP opening movie is shown above.

Naruto Shippuuden: Kizuna Drive info appears in the latest issue of Shonen Jump. We knew it’s a team-based action game before and now it’s clear that you can freely pick four characters for your team, some of the ninjas available are shown in the mag (click the image above for full view). All four characters can linked up to activate “Kizuna Link”, special moves that deal large amount of damages to your enemies. It’s also revealed that there will be more than 60 missions in the Free Mission mode. Game will be out this year in Japan but there is no actual release date yet.

Backed by the always reliable Shin Sangoku Musou name and the Monster Hunter Portable inspired multiplayer modes, Shin Sangoku Musou: Multi Raid (aka Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce) enjoyed a very successful launch in Japan last February, selling more than 350,000 copies even before it’s next week. After being ported to home consoles, nobody should be surprised with the announcement of the sequel, to be released on PSP next month in Japan. The first game was a refreshing change to the series, so am really interested to see what they are adding to the sequel. Japan Weekly Software Ranking (Jan 18 – Jan 24)

Fairly strong PSP presence in the latest Japanese charts thanks to the generous amount of major releases recently. Sega and it’s Chief Producer Shuntaro Tanaka should be happy with Senjou no Valkyria 2 (aka Valkyria Chronicles 2) portable debut, a slight improvement over its PS3 debut (77,000) almost two years ago.
