Japan Weekly Software Ranking (Nov 16 – Nov 22)

Great start for DSi LL with more than 100,000 units sold on its first week, which also saw the return of Pokemon and Tomodachi Collection to the top two spots. PSP holds up quite well though, selling more than 30,000 units but the same cannot be said of PSP go, which continues its free fall to only around 6,000 units. Armored Core Silent Line Portable is the best PSP debut this week with around 18,000 copies sold.

Tokimeki Memorial 4

Next Thursday will see three big PSP releases (not as big as New Super Mario Bros. Wii obviously :) and Weekly Famitsu has given their verdicts of the games. Fans of Tokimeki Memorial 4 (screen above) will be pleased to know that the game receives 33/40 from the four, who also gave Mario’s latest adventure on the Wii a perfect 40/40.

More Crossover: Falcom To Announce Ys Vs Sora no Kiseki

Ys Seven

The next company to give its series the 3D fighting treatments is Falcom, who is set to announce Ys Vs Sora no Kiseki this week based on early leaks of the latest issue of DengekiPlayStation. As the title suggests, the game will features characters from two of the company most popular series, those confirmed so far appeared to be Adol, Dogi (screen with them in Ys Seven above) and Olha for Ys with Joshua, Tita and Estelle representing Sora no Kiseki. They will be featured in the story mode and up to four characters can join a battle. The game will come out sometime next year in Japan.

Falcom latest loves for PSP doesn’t ends there as the company also announce the port of Ys: The Oath in Felghana to our system next April. Hope both of them will come to US eventually but at this moment, I will be happy to see both Ys I&II Chronicles and Ys Seven get translated.
