Coded Soul

Coded Soul is coming out next week in Japan, and I’m pretty excited about the game, so here’s a few more screens to check out. Source: GameSpot Japan.

A military experiment gone ugly, “Idea” is where players will spend most of their time in.

Jay

Main character of the game and a soldier sent to find Gail, who was missing from “Idea” with May.

Gail

Forced to co-operate in the “Idea” experiment, Gail has the ability to open the door to the world of “Idea”.

Battling creatures is what players will mostly do in the game. Jay can have two monsters assign to him at any one time. Rare items and bonus experience points await if the two monsters can co-operate and unleash combo attacks.

A “Bond Gauge” is located at the bottom of the battle screen, once the gauge is being filled up, a special wave attack can be launched, dealing maximum damage to enemies in the path.

There are a wide range of weapons like sword, lance, hammer and axe players can use in the game, these weapons can be upgraded by combining them with captured monsters. There are other accessories to boost Jay’s defense and HP.

The multiplayer screens where players set their rule for a match. They can exchange captured monsters via the Ad Hoc mode as well. Although the game has no connection at all with PS3′s FolksSoul: Ushinawareta Denshou (aka Folklore), they share some of the monsters name, owners of both game can also unlock more missions by sending some items to one another.
