Crisis Core Gets 9/9/8/9 From Famitsu

Is this the most anticipated review score for a PSP game? The famous Cross Review Panel from Famitsu appears to love Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII and given the game a 9/9/8/9 score in the upcoming issue of the game. Not unexpected, if you ask me, but this probably won’t have any effect on the game’s sale. Capcom’s Fate/Tiger Colosseum, which will goes on sale on next Thursday as well, received a slightly dissappointing 7/6/6/6 score. Via PSP Game News.

sometimes i dont really understand famitsu’s scoring system… in fact i dont really understand most of them… in fact those people are always more subjective… that’s why i dont want to trust those scores :)
September 5th, 2007 at 5:24 pmI prefer a 9/9/8/9 than a 4×10. FFXII had 4×10 and it was a complete crap. I usually like the famitsu scores but they’re “too japanese”… nintendogs a 4×10? come on…

I think it’s rather usual for a fast pace game like CCFFVII but not sure how bad it is compare to Monster Hunter Freedom 2 though, which features the same problems but somewhat neutralized by the game’s wide area of play. One reviewer raised concern about some of the rather monotonous battles but another says that the missions are quite addictive. Obviously, everyone agreed that the game has the best graphics on PSP so far. Other praises include the excellent story, innovative battle system, action packed, nice balance and as one of them noted, the highlights are too many to describe (the 3.5cm x 3.5cm box they have for review probably won’t help either).
