Crisis Core PSP Special Pack Announced

Finally, Square Enix announced the content for the limited edition of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and it’s a little dissappointing for me but the prospect of owning the new slimmer and lighter PSP before everyone else should be attractive enough for Japanese fans to dish out 25,890 Yen (around $212) for the premium that also celebrate Final Fantasy VII’s 10th Anniversary. Only 77,777 copies will be made available and the pack includes the PSP-2000ZS FINAL FANTASY VII 10th Anniversary Edition, a copy of the game and a sword shape phone chain. The game, as announced earlier, will be released on September 13th, a week before the the PSP-2000 went to street.

The game is available for pre-order now at Play-Asia for $58.90.

  1. PSPHyper » Shinra Inc’s Potion Detailed

[...] Shinra Inc’s Potion Detailed The FFVII 10th anniversary celebration continues with this Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Potion straight out of Shinra Inc, or rather premium maker Suntory in Japan. Just like the Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII special PSP bundle, there will only be 77,777 bottles of these and it sets to come out on September 13th, when Crisis Core went on sale. I am not sure what effect the potion, said to contain Vitamin B1 will have on you, but the detail is on the official site if you read Japanese. The price? 3,980 Yen tax inclusive or around US$32. 2. PSPHyper » Two Covers For Crisis Core, Pre-Order Starts

[...] Two Covers For Crisis Core, Pre-Order Starts Another cover for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII appears on Japanese online store Amazon and Rakuten respectively. This appears to be the cover you will get if you are buying the game only, while the earlier cover is for the limited edition bundle announced earlier. So what do you think of them? Pre-order for the game has opened for the two outlets but not the special bundle just yet. Importer can do so at Play-Asia now, which I just did, though I am torn between Asian and Japanese version. Asian version win it for now though, due to the possibility of an extra English manual. [...]

  6. PSPHyper » Zack On Gemaga Cover

[...] Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII’s main character Zack is on the cover of the latest issue of Gemaga, where director Hajime Tabata and Tetsuya Nomura were interviewed. LB-CCFF7 has put up some of the information, including the fact that only 10,000 units were originally planned for the special bundle. I am not sure about this but apparently they ended up at 77,777 due to huge demand and that happens to be the maximum amount of the customized PSP Slim & Lite that can be produced by the manufacturers within the time frame. As pre-orders were closed as soon as they were opened, Nomura says that he did try to get a copy via Square Enix’s e-Store but failed and may have to line-up on the day to get a unit himself! Japanese reader can check out LB-CCFF7 for more info. [...]

  7. PSPHyper » Unofficial: Crisis Core Sold 350,000 First Day

[...] Unofficial: Crisis Core Sold 350,000 First Day The numbers are out for the games that went on sale on Thursday, with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII the not unexpected winner. According to Sinobi, Japanese gamers snap up 350,000 copies of the game, 60,000 of those the special PSP Slim & Lite bundle. Making it the second best first day result for a PSP game since Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, which managed to shift 510,000 copies when it was out last February (which is an amazing number now that I see Crisis Core’s number). Sinobi noted that this is the best number for the Final Fantasy series on handhelds, Square another recent FF release was Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates for the DS, which sold 200,000 copies on it’s first week. 8. PSPHyper » 250,000 Slim & Lite Sold On Week 1

[...] More great news for Sony’s PSP as Enterbrain reports that 250,702 units of PSP-2000 (also officially known as PSP Slim & Lite in Japan) were sold in 3 days since its launch on September 20th. Sony announced earlier that 130,000 units were sold on day 1 alone, which means the Japanese public pick up 120,000 more units in the next two days. The publisher also reveals that 75,943 units of the special Crisis Core bundle (Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Limited) were sold so far. With the new figure in, 6,217,664 PSPs were sold in Japan since its launch at the end of 2004. Via Famitsu. Filed under: PSP — September 26, 2007 7:32 pm [...]

  14. Dates, Bundles & Surprises At PSP Media Event | PSPHyper

[...] PSP is at the center of a special media event by Sony a little while ago. Plenty of announcements, the biggest of them (to me at least) is Dissidia Final Fantasy release date, which is being set at December 18th. The game itself will cost 6,090 Yen ($56) while the almost impossible to get bundle with a special PSP-3000 will set you back 25,890 Yen ($238, same as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy special pack).
