Crisis Core PSP Special Pack Announced
Finally, Square Enix announced the content for the limited edition of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and it’s a little dissappointing for me but the prospect of owning the new slimmer and lighter PSP before everyone else should be attractive enough for Japanese fans to dish out 25,890 Yen (around $212) for the premium that also celebrate Final Fantasy VII’s 10th Anniversary. Only 77,777 copies will be made available and the pack includes the PSP-2000ZS FINAL FANTASY VII 10th Anniversary Edition, a copy of the game and a sword shape phone chain. The game, as announced earlier, will be released on September 13th, a week before the the PSP-2000 went to street.

The game is available for pre-order now at Play-Asia for $58.90.

Pre-order for the game has opened for the two outlets but not the special bundle just yet. Importer can do so at Play-Asia now, which I just did, though I am torn between Asian and Japanese version. Asian version win it for now though, due to the possibility of an extra English manual. [...]

According to Sinobi, Japanese gamers snap up 350,000 copies of the game, 60,000 of those the special PSP Slim & Lite bundle. Making it the second best first day result for a PSP game since Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, which managed to shift 510,000 copies when it was out last February (which is an amazing number now that I see Crisis Core’s number). Sinobi noted that this is the best number for the Final Fantasy series on handhelds, Square another recent FF release was Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates for the DS, which sold 200,000 copies on it’s first week.
