Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning: Mogli Events & Data Transfer

Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning

I think quite a few of you here bought the Japanese version of Dissidia Final Fantasy. So will you get Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning as well? I’m not sure actually, English voice, the tuning and the new additions seem attractive but probably not at full price again…

Previous reports told us Universal Tuning will has extra scenes, voice-over for some of the previously text-only scenes, the inclusion of English voice, Arcade Mode and Level 100-150 enemies in Duel Colosseum. However, there are more content to justify the price, as shown from the screens after the jump.

Data Transfer

Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning

Owners of the original game have four options during Data Transfer. “Marugoto Set” lets you transfer everything; “UT Han Mankitsu Set” lets you enjoy the upgrades in Universal Tuning at the starting level of 50; “Level Set” lets you start from Level 1 with your accessories intact; and finally Strong New Game that let you start from the beginning of the story.

Character Tuning

Warrior of Light, Garland, Frionel, Emperor, Onion Knight, Cloud of Darkness, Cecil Harvey, Golbeza, Bartz Klauser, Exdeath, Tina (aka Terra) and Kefka Palazzo all receive their own tuning.

I got the JP version, and I tried the US one.
Honestly I would not buy the new version..not worth it. The English voices are putting me off, and the game is essentially the same. Importing characters wouldn’t make much sense since the whole point of the game is to build up your chars. At the same time, if you start from scratch, you’ll need a lot of courage because I personally had to finish each char’s story 3 or 4 times to get all the bonuses..so I don’t feel like doing it again.

If they had add or changed a few characters OR even customise the colors (excuse for not adding new characters or DLC) would be good.

I agree :) It doesn’t help that I still have a long way to go in the JP version of the game :)
