costumes are those worth 300 pp.
but they are not in order bcoz some characters hv more than 1 costumes.
anyway,after buying them,go to customize screen and click triangle.u will see the form change.(as in the japanese word oh the right top of your screen.

There will be a costume option. Every character will have at least one alternate costume. As you hoped, Squall’s will be his SeeD costume, but Cloud’s will be his AC costume, which makes much more sense, as Zack and Cloud have different fighting styles. They’d have to make him fight differently in the alt costume.
