Enterbrain: PSP Top System For The First Half of 2008

According to Enterbrain, PSP is the best selling system in Japan for the first half of 2008 with 1,964,461 units sold, Nintendo Wii is at close second with 1,720,263 units while the DS is third with 1,593,844 units. PSP’s success is mostly due to Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, which is the top selling software with 2.3 million copies sold in little more than three months time. Dairantou Smash Bros. X (1,666,323 copies) and Mario Kart Wii (1,526,664) occupy the second and third place for software sales. As noted by Mainichi, it will be interesting to see how PSP performs “Post MoHan” and this summer.
