Fishing Japan With Nippon no Asoko de

Sony Japan unveiled Nippon no Asoko de in an earlier issue of Weekly Famitsu and these screenshots from Game Watch give us more idea of what exactly the game does. In the “Map/Entertainment” software, you will be helping Nabichu, a new staff from a travelling agency in outer space, investigates Japan. It sounds weird but in order to investigate any location from the UFO that Nabichu is flying, you need to do some fishing. Areas that are available for fishing will have fish shadows on them and if you manage to win a roulette battle, information on institutions or monuments located there will be revealed to you. The game will based on real world map of Japan and besides famous building like Tokyo Tower, it is updated with the latest information of convenience stores and banks as well. Other features include support for Ad Hoc and Infrastructure mode and the PSP Camera, players can customize the look of the main character and the cockpit of the UFO as well. Famous locations like Tokyo Tower, Shinjuku and Nagoya Castle are all represented in 3D.

Players can zoom in and out of the map at will.

In order to reveal the buildings at a location and their details, you must first “fish” them.


There is day and night transition in the game too.


Customize the look of your character.

Decorate the cockpit with items obtained throughout the game.
