For A Week? PSP The Best Seller
The Media Create Weekly Ranking has been updated with the result of last week software and hardware sales. As expected, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, who managed to move 350,000 copies on it’s first day, ended up on top for the week with 486,659 copies. The second and third place is a double-version entry in the Pokemon franchise, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Time Exploration Battalion (300,295) and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Darkness Exploration Battalion (268,593) respectively. Capcom’s Fate/Tiger Colosseum, another PSP game, ended up at 4th place with 54,880 copies sold. Making it two PSP games in the Top 30 and four in the Top 50 with Monster Hunter Portable 2nd still in the chart after more than 6 months.
The most interesting figures can be seen in the Hardware, with the PSP going top after a long absence at 95,487 units. At least 50,000 of those from the Crisis Core special bundle. These figures does not include the official PSP Slim & Lite, launched with six colors yesterday, so next week will be another interesting week in terms of sales for the PSP.

[...] Gpara has the result for the performance of PSP Slim & Lite (PSP-2000), which officially went on sale yesterday in Japan. Apparently around 130,000 units were sold in Japan, making it the second biggest one day sale for the handheld in the country since the launch of PSP-1000 back in 2004, when the first day figure stands at 171,963 according to Media Create. The figure outdo even the Crisis Core bundle released last week, when 95,487 units of “old” and the special bundle were sold. Read more at Gpara. Filed under: PSP — September 21, 2007 7:51 pm [...]
