Gladiator Begins With PSP This October

One of the new games announced in this week’s Weekly Famitsu is Kentoushi Gladiator Begins, an ARPG inspired by the famous fighters in Roman period. The game is currently under development at Goshow, who also created the first game for PS2 back in 2005 (release in US as Colosseum: Road to Freedom), and will be published by Acquire this October in Japan.
This Famitsu report focus on the story, customization options and show us some of the battle system. The story appears to be set ten years before the first game. Player will need to create their own gladiator before the game starts with the much improved Character Making feature, and they can create a female fighter now. There will be an increase in attacking moves but only the face buttons are needed to activate them. Of course it won’t be a PSP game these days without the Ad-Hoc mode support and in Kentoushi, players can fight against each other and also exchange gladiators data they have created.
Kentoushi Gladiator Begins is currently 77% done and will be out in Japan on October 29th.
