Not only does .hack//Link features all the characters from the popular series, which span across anime, novels, manga and games, developers CyberConnect 2 also created the most powerful “Forms” for them, called the Xth Form. Characters in the game get to “Extend” their outfit when certain conditions have been met and Xth Form will be the most powerful one. Partners Xth Form

When further conditions are met, your partners can undergo form change too. When in this form, the animation for X Rengeki (Cross Rengeki) will be even more elaborate.

Grand Whale

Tokio and friends will be based in a submarine called Grand Whale, which also houses several facilities such as Suite Room and Dress Room. The former are rooms that designed based on its resident and visiting these rooms can sometimes trigger special scenes. The later lets you equip the titles you just won or accessorize your weapons.

Multiplayer Co-op

The multiplayer mode (via Ad Hoc) is called Link Play and supports up to three players. Each players can go their own way or work together towards the deepest part of the dungeon. The flow of the multiplayer is shown in the screens below: select the difficulty level of the dungeon and the floor to start with; each floor is made up of five areas and players have to pick an area to begin; players work separately in the dungeon but there are parts which require helps from other players in order to progress; and there will be a boss waiting for you in the final area.
