Suddenly, everyone decided that strategy games are best on PSP. Irem’s Kazuma Kujou, who had earlier confirmed that he is working on a PSP title, is producing a strategy game based on classic shooting series R-Type. R-Type Tactics was revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine and IGN has some details. The game will looks and feels like a traditional side-scrolling shooting game but like all strategy games, you take turns with the enemies and move over hexagonal grid. This announcement means that those expecting Disaster Report and Steambot Chronicles from Kujou will be disappointed. However, the visuals from a scan of Famitsu report is looking good and the game appears to features support for Ad Hoc mode as well. The game is expected to come out later in the year. Via IGN.
