Japan Weekly Software Ranking (Dec 1 – Dec 7)
Level-5’s Layton Kyouju to Saigo no Jikan Ryokou kept its top position in the latest Japanese charts with a much lesser but still impressive sales of around 87,000 copies in its second week. Bandai’s Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World for the PS2 and Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii are not far behind with 76,000 copies sold each.
After the excitement of last week, none of the PSP titles sold well enough to stay in the Top 10 although most of them still in the Top 20. Kenka Banchou 3: Zenkoku Seiha in particular, did well with more than 20,000 copies sold and 70,000 in total now. According to early numbers, LocoRoco 2, which is also available at the PSN, sold only about 5,000 copies in its first week. Not a good sign certainly but not unexpected really, the game doesn’t has anything that separate it from the first game greatly. I hope the team move on to create more creative IPs.

i really really really really … hope that dissidia will do very very very very… well next week… i mean… c’mon seriously… if it doesnt do well (which it will) i am doubtful if there will be any great game for psp anymore… :(
