Japan Weekly Software Ranking (Dec 17 – Dec 23)
Another Final Fantasy remake and another chart topping performance as Final Fantasy IV for the DS sold around 300,000 copies last week. The latest Japanese charts also see the rise and rise of Wii’s softwares like Wii Fit, Wii Sports, Super Mario Galaxy and Hajimete no Wii, all charting at higher position than last week. On the PSP side of things, Sony’s Patapon had a (probably lower than expected) sales of 15,000 copies last week. However, the PSP sold an incredible 160,000 units last week, thanks to the limited edition “Deep Red“. Next week, we’ll see Star Ocean First Departure and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku’s performances, the latter was almost sold out according to some reports.
