Dissidia Final Fantasy returns to the top of the latest Japanese charts with another 97,000 copies sold last week. Based on Enterbrain’s data (via Sinobi), the title has sold 757,000 copies so far and became the fourth best selling PSP game in Japan. It’s a matter of time before it overtake Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (797,000 copies so far) for the 3rd place. After spending 30 hours with the game, it’s so obvious that this is really a labor of love from Nomura and co., so I’m really pleased to see them being rewarded with such a great sales.

In the Enterbrain chart, the budget re-release of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, another game of really high production and replay value, actually made it to the Top 10 again (61,000 copies sold!). It will be interesting to see what Capcom will do next to the game or the MHP series with the release of the two Wii games this year.
