Japan Weekly Software Ranking (July 21 - July 27)
Dragon Quest V: Tenkuu No Hanayome (of which Square Enix announced they have shipped 1 million copies) continues to dominate Japanese charts with more than 190,000 copies sold last week, a whopping 100,000 more than Konami’s Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 15 at second place (the PSP version started with 110,000). As expected, Falcom’s Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki The 3rd looks certain to become the best selling PSP game in the Sora no Kiseki trilogy as it made an impressive 39,000 copies in the first week.
Late tomorrow, we should be able to get an early indications of how Panic Palette Portable err… Phantasy Star Portable will do against the likes of Soul Calibur IV and more importantly, its direct competitor Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G.
