Japan Weekly Software Ranking (Nov 10 - Nov 16)
This week’s biggest debut comes from Way of the Samurai 3, which sold more than 80,000 copies at 2nd spot. Another PS3 title, Resistance 2 is the only other title that is not on the DS to make it to the Top 10 of the charts.
PSP actually has three new releases last week, none of them did well enough. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is still the best selling PSP game with another 16,000 copies sold while Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or 2 proved its versatility with another 7,100 copies sold, we’ll surely see more of this game in the future (I have updated my guide with some basic tips).
On the hardware front, DSi continues to sell well with PSP at distant second. Let’s see if this will change next week with the release of the special edition PSP for Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam PSP Pack. Other new PSP releases today in Japan are Prinny: Ore ga Shujinkou de Iinsuka? and the Japanese version of Secret Agent Clank.
