Japan Weekly Software Ranking (Oct 20 – Oct 26)
Plenty of new releases last week with Wagamama Fashion Girls Mode and Atlus’ Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou tai Abaddon Ou Plus making their debut with big numbers. PSP also has a couple of debutants but only Bleach: Soul Carnival made it to the top 10 with around 18,000 copies sold while Sega’s Garnet Chronicle only managed 6,500. Bleach: Soul Carnival’s number also significantly lower than Bleach: Heat the Soul 5, which debut with 40,000.
The best selling PSP game is still Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or 2, which was released a week earlier, with another 27,000 copies sold, not surprising for such a great game.
On the hardware side, PSP-3000 is still leading the chart but early figures show that it had a sharp drop from its 150,000 units sold at launch to around 66,000 last week. Nintendo DSi’s impending launch this weekend in Japan certainly play a big role here.

I have checked out the new Bleach game, and it looks like fun actually… quite sad it wasnt received well in japan… thinking of buying the chinese version, which will be released next week…
