PS3 had a good week in Japan with two titles (three if you follow Enterbrain) in the charts and Grand Theft Auto IV debuts at the top spot with around 133,000 copies. LittleBigPlanet, which together with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III, have PS3 bundles to go with their launches, sold 52,000.

Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G’s budget re-release debuts with around 26,000 copies, the best selling PSP games for the week, more than 7 months after the game was out. Another PSP title worth mentioning is Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or 2, which has now sold more than 100,000 in three weeks, the first game took 6 months to sell 133,000 copies.

Nintendo DSi, which I will probably get one this weekend in Hong Kong, was launched last Saturday and 170,779 units were sold according to Enterbrain. PSP, despite the lack of softwares, still managed to sell a respectable 50,000 units based on early Enterbrain figures to end up at second spot in the hardware chart.
