Japanese Game Mags Sales: How Popular Is Famitsu?
Still very popular, according to the latest data from JMPA. Half a million people buy the mag every week despite the constant early leaks, probably one of the reasons it’s down from more than 800,000 few years back. I really love the magazine, even though it’s so full of ads (and there are some really cool video games ads in there). Those exciting (and exclusive) ‘Scoop’ aside, I really love their strategy guides, they are so well done. But nowadays, I subscribe to the Taiwan version instead, which came out at the same and is pretty much the exact same mag but without the ads.
