The game play out very similar to developers Gust’s own Atelier series where players combine items with Alchemy skill, but in Mana-Khemia, you can even combine items with your party members.

For the battle system, besides the turn-based system of typical RPG, Mana-Khemia added elements of strategy by having the attack and support system. If you have more than the default number of characters in your party, you can give some of them supporting role. This supporting characters can be called upon to defend against any enemies’ attacks while the frontline recharge themselves.
