Mech Combat For Latest Bumpy Trot Game

Bumpy Trot Vehicle Battle Tournament

The upcoming issue of Famitsu will reveals the latest game in Irem’s Bumpy Trot (Steambot Chronicles in US) series for the PSP. To be called “Bumpy Trot Vehicle Battle Tournament”, the game will probably features fighting “Trotmobiles”, the famed mech-like vehicle of the series. I will update this post once the images or details are in, but the game will features multiplayer and is currently being planned for 2008 release. I love those cute looking mechs and actually bought the series only other PSP games, Blocks Club with Bumpy Trot Portable, a fun board game with characters from series, so this is looking cool.

On to the development of the Bumpy Trot 2, the true sequel to the 2006 PS2 game, apparently the platform will now be PS3 instead of the previously announced PS2. Via PSP Game News.

Update: Yeap, mech fighting it is, mag scan via NeoGAF, the multiplayer battle looks incredibly fun!

  1. PSPHyper » Bumpy Trot Screens & Website

[...] This title went straight into my must buy list when it was announced earlier. Irem was kind enough to put up the official website for Bumpy Trot Vehicle Battle Tournament with lot’s of screens to look at. The “Junk Battle Action Game”, as per described by the publisher, will pit player against the best “Trot Vehicles” (or Trotmobiles) pilots from all over the world in a tournament. Player can customize his/her Trot Vehicle parts, namely the body, arm and leg, to suit the purpose of a particular battle. Aside from battling other Trot Vehicles in the tournament, players can earn rewards by taking on various tasks from the town people and upgrade or buy vehicle parts from the shops as well. One last feature mentioned is the 4-player communication play via the Ad Hoc mode. The game is set for release sometime next year, check out the screens after the jump. [...]
