Meet The PaRappa Character Designer
PaRappa was released in Japan back in 1996 on the original PlayStation and gathered a sizable following for its lovable character and innovative play. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Sony has just published PaRappa The Rapper for the PSP in Japan. Fans of the first game will be familiar with the game as all six raps from that game are being retained. Among the new features is making use of the Ad Hoc mode for four players “rap battles”.
The distinctive character design by Californian artist Rodney Alan Greenblat is being retained as well. The man himself visited Japan for a meet-the-fans session in a restaurant and told the crowd how the project started, promoting the special edition of the game and playing the game with the fans.
