Monster Hunter Festa ‘08: Nagoya

Four stops and more than 16,000 hunters later, the 5-stop Monster Hunter Festa ‘08 came to an end at Nagoya last Saturday, where another 4,000 hunters came. At 36 years of age, Famitsu vice editor Otsuka Hideyuki said five events in just a few days is tiring but he is sad that the event that he covered so thoroughly is ending. (There is still a National Championship Finals to come on May 25th, where the best hunters fight it out to become Japan best Monster Hunter.) As usual, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, director Yasunori Ichinose, planner Shintaro Kojima and series world view supervisor Kaname Fujioka show off their skills in front of the hunters.

Again, there is an illustration contest where each developer choose a favorite. Tsujimoto picked the ever lovable Otomo Ailu while Kojima chose the fiery Rathian.

These huge illustrations board featuring all the monsters from the game have been the fixture of all the events and never fail to draw big attention.
