Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G New Details
Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is one of the big features in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu. With only the game title and March release date being revealed so far, this is the first time we get to know more about the actual game itself.
As reported before, you will be able to use your Monster Hunter Portable 2nd’s save data to start the game, it is now confirmed that almost everything in that save data can be carried over (MHP 2nd only allows very limited amount of data). If players decide to change their characters’ gender, their armors will changed accordingly (there are male and female only armors in the game).
Players can bring along a “white cat” for their hunting trips now. Just like those cats in the kitchen of previous games, they have different attributes.
G-Class and additional upper class quests will be added, players will be able to take on the previously Guild Hall only upper class quests from the Village Elder now.
A couple of new monsters were revealed, one of them looks like Tigarex. Daimyou Zazami will get a sub-species. A new map, called Jyukai (sea of trees…) will be added, in addition to the existing maps from MHP 2nd. Newer version of existing weapons like bow gun, gun lancer (now with thunder effects) and hunting horn will be available too. Another level of sharpness for weapons is added, purple color is now better than white color.
On the rumored infrastructure mode and other features, there is still no confirmation about that, so we’ll wait till someone get a copy of Famitsu PSP.
Finally, the exact release date is now March 13th in Japan.
