Monster Hunting Madness In Japan
By now, thousands of monster hunters are enjoying their copy of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, I still haven’t got mine but I don’t think I have to wait for too long. Let’s check out what got Japanese so excited on Feb 22nd, and let’s not forget that the original Monster Hunter Portable still floating in the weekly Japanese software chart as of last week. Shinjuku Launch Event
This is probably the biggest crowd ever for a PSP related events since the PSP launch itself. Yodobashi Camera at Shinjuku has the biggest queue as more than 100 hunters line up for the launch event with the first in the line arrive as early as 5.30am. Apparently, the game enjoys high popularity among Japanese high school students and most of the buyers own the first game, but the special pack that contains the Champagne Gold PSP sold quite well.

There is no shortage of hunters here as well, with the first hunter arrived at 5am and wait till 10am for the shop to open.







Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Rookie Guide 2
The publisher of Famitsu are well known for their strategy guides, this guidebook, compiled by the Weekly Famitsu team, went on sale the same day as MHP 2nd launch and it includes a DVD and go on sale for 1890 Yen (around US$15.60). Rookies are guaranteed to become a seasoned veteran with this highly detailed guidebook that contains all that you need to know about the weapons and armors upgrade.
New Quests Download
Those importing Monster Hunter Portable will be familiar with the new quest downloads. To celebrate the launch of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, Capcom is releasing a new quest for download via PlayStation Spot.
