More Chaotic Dungeon Management In Namaikida Sequel

The beloved “Destruction God” is back in Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2 to face a larger cast of RPG heroes and also in a much larger world. The dungeon management game is one of the most memorable PSP titles for me, thanks to the simple but challenging gameplays and superbly drawn characters and environment.
In the original Japan-only game, which was rated as among the best PSP game of 2007 by Weekly Famitsu, you are the said “Destruction God” who only know how to hide in a dungeon you must dig yourself. Little creatures like slimes will pop out of the soil and went on to fertilize its surrounding to create more creatures, which will eventually become your army when facing the cocky RPG heroes. A balanced ecosystem will then need to be maintained in order for these army to survive and become useful when defending you. Points were given based on how many digging you’ve done, lesser digs mean higher score at the end of the 8-stage game. Check out my brief run through of the Story Mode here.

OR2 will expands greatly upon this, among the key upgrade mentioned in the just opened official site are 2.5 times more RPG heroes, 4 times more stages and 3.3 times more army. The just released direct screens also show a 3D overworld, thumbnails to show how the Destruction God is doing and dialogs from the creatures. The amount of upgrades are pretty standard at this point, surely there will be more to come. My guesses are it will probably feature Ad-Hoc multiplayer supports and some PSN stuff.
Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2 doesn’t has a release date yet. The original game will has a budget re-release in Japan on August 28th for $28.90 at Play-Asia.com. Four more screens grabbed from the official website after the jump.

[...] Plenty of new releases make it to the Top 10 this week, which also see Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G being knocked off the charts for the first time in 14 weeks. Nintendo Wii also surpass the PSP to become the best selling hardware of the week according to early figures from Enterbrain, thanks to Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk, which moved close to 140,000 copies. Acquire continues with its good run on PSP with Ken To Mahou To Gakuen Mono as the RPG made an encouraging start at around 30,000 copies. That’s slightly better than the first week number of the company’s previous game Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida, of which a sequel has been announced. [...]
