More Puzzle Loves From Irem

Mawaskes based on I guess not many people checked out Irem’s Blocks Club with Bumpy Trot Portable when it was released last year. The puzzler may not be as famous or as innovative as D3’s recent hit Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords but it is one of those casual games that’s hard to put down once you know your way around it.

The publisher has recently announced another innovative looking PSP puzzler based on their 2000 game Carton-kun for the original PlayStation. Mawaskes based on “Carton-kun” interface looks like Tetris, squares of blue and yellow colors fall from the top, players have to turn them so that the same colors can connect and eliminate each other. Six game modes are available including supports for 8-player ad hoc and game sharing. Don’t know what I am talking about? Fear not as a PC demo can be expected soon.

Mawaskes based on “Carton-kun” likely to remain Japan only and is set for release this July. Here’s a magazine scan on the game.
