More Screens For Hatsune Miku’s PSP Debut

Based on an extremely popular music software on the PC, where it helps launch the career of a few music makers and various side products like manga and figurines, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva was announced for the PSP recently. However, unlike the program that it’s based on, where users input their melody and lyrics for the software to belt out, the title is a rhythm game with story elements. There are more screens for the game at Game Watch, so let’s see how it actually plays.

Rhythm Game Mode

In Rhythm Game Mode, players simply have to press on the matching face buttons when it overlaps with the “Target Icon”, those little white glowing balls.

Good timing will earn you combos.

The purple orb at the bottom left of the screen indicates Miku’s “Tension Meter”, her expression will be based on this indicater.

Players can make progress even if their timing is a little off.

Tougher challenges await those made it through the initial stage and the reward for this is a special dance performance by Miku.

Finally, players who made it through will be given points and items.
Story Mode
Story Mode in the game is made up of several short stories, which players can enjoy every time they clear a stage in Rhythm Game Mode. Below are the several stages of the Story Mode, items for customization can be found here as well.
