MPO Soldier Recruiting Made Easy (in Japan)
Are you playing Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops? Find the soldiers recruitment system a drag? Or don’t have enough members in your Medic team? While the “AP Scan” function in the game does provides a quick and easy way to fill up your team quickly, the recruits tend to be weak and most of them are for the sneaking unit. But if you live in Japan, i-revo has partnered with Konami and map experts Zenrin for a very useful website for Japanese MPO owners. Making use of Google Maps, the site basically tells you who you can recruit from hotspots in Japan. Apart from inputing a street address to see if there’s any good soldiers around that area, you can also search by their career or skills.
The service is free but requires member registration, and to celebrate the official launch at the end of this month (the site is currently up for beta testing). i-revo will also give out official Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops premium in the forms of t-shirts, posters and stickers to lucky users. For the rest of us, we have to settle for driving around aimlessly while looking for recruits or it’s actually quite fun just checking out what are the soldiers the Japanese are getting.
