Namaikida Direct Feed Screens

Finally, a chance to examine Sony unique looking 2D RPG, Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida closer with these direct feed screens from Dengeki Online. As mentioned before, player will act as “Destruction God” and breed monsters to protect himself from the warriors found in typical RPG games. Dengeki reveals that the game will have three different modes, they are “Training”, “Story” and “VS”. The latter is for multi-player via the Ad Hoc mode.
By the way, the official website has a lengthy discussion between Acquire, the game’s developers and SCEJ of how the title evolved from concept, to the original plan of it being a PS3 downloadable title but fortunately for us, ended up on the PSP. And the developers seem to get the idea for the game from Biotope, which according to Wikipedia, “is an area of uniform environmental conditions providing a living place for a specific assemblage of plants and animals.”
Check out Dengeki Online for hi-res versions of the screens or read on to see them in one convenient page and a little bit of information.

The screens above show player as a “Destruction God” who loves to dig holes, set up the environment in which to grow his favorite monsters and defeat the brave warriors that dare to come and visit his dungeon.

Keeping the monsters ecosystem in balance is as important as defeating the warriors here. Sending newborn monsters to the field is suicidal so player has to provide the right food to these hungry monsters in order to make them stronger.

After a while, the warriors (with maximum 3-character party) arrive at the dungeon and take on the monsters whose action can’t be controlled by the player. The stage is cleared if these monsters managed to repulse the warriors.
Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida is set for release in Japan on December 6th, Play-Asia.com has the game available for pre-orders now at $39.90.
