NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting: Celebrating 20 Years of NeoGeo

Always love the characters from NeoGeo and here’s a chance to see them in one place on your PSP. Well, sort of, as NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting is a vertical shooting game with wacky sounding story and our characters only appear in the menu or as talking head. Check out the modes and characters included after the jump.

Story

NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate ShootingProfessor Brown Hugo invented the Time Machine to figure out who is the strongest heroes in all the different era but decided to freeze it when a mysterious group called Damn is also eyeing the machine for some dark purposes. 15 years have past without any incident but they managed to steal it at last and our professor is gathering all the heroes to undo all the changes the evil organization have done for the different era.

Game Modes

NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate ShootingSix items can be found in the menu. They are Story Mode (aka Neogeo Heroes), Challenge Mode, Mulit Play Mode, SkyStage, Museum Mode and Option. Story Mode is where players pick a character to get past all the stages.

NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate ShootingThere are a couple of modes inside Challenge Mode. Survival Mode (left) is fighting the bosses continuously with players getting extra bullet and speed after every success. The rewards for this is more items in Gallery and Sound Mode.

NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate ShootingSubject Mode allows players to take on stages that have specific goals in them. For example, using only finishing move to kill a boss or drain an enemy’s bullets completely.

Sky Stage Mode lets us enjoy the fun of the recently released arcade game KOF Sky Stage. Among the changes for the PSP are the number of lives, amount of bombs one can carry and players get to choose the stage freely.
