Phantasy Star Portable: Monster In The Making?

It looks like the PSP is going to have another big seller in the form of Phantasy Star Portable, Gpara reports that 400,000 units of the game has been shipped to retailers in Japan and the game was sold out at various stores since its official launch yesterday. Some shop owners and Japanese blogs also report that the game sold well in their locations. We should be able to know tonight how many units of that amount were actually sold.
Although it’s impossible for the game to match Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G first day sales of 670,000 (880,000 first week) units, it’s shouldn’t be too far from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII’s 350,000 first day (480,000 first week), Sega should be really happy now (and please start work on the English translation, didn’t import this because too many games still in hand).
