Piposaru’s Back, Now For RPG

The Record of Piposaru War

Revealed in Weekly Famitsu two weeks ago, the mag’s website now has screens of the latest adventure of Sony’s mascot Piposaru (the Ape Escape series in US). To be named “The Record of Piposaru War”, players will take control of a Pipo Monkey who live in the Toxica Kingdom (my translation…). Things went bad when “Stupid Prince”, on his trip to learn how to behave like a future king, unleash three demons sealed in stones. And that’s all we know so far of the story.

Also shown are mini-games that appear to require our favorite monkeys to do various funny/stupid jobs (one screen shows him waiting impatiently outside the toilet…) in order to gain experience and upgrade weapons. Visually, the game doesn’t looks that much different from the monkeys’ previous outings, lots more screens after the link below. The RPG has no specific release date yet.
