Play As God With Patapon

Famitsu has first information on the great looking 2D game that Sony showed during E3, Patapon. It appears to be a music and rhythm game where player acts as god and controls the Patapons by tapping the PSP buttons to produce different drum beats. Different combination of drum beats can instruct the Patapons to do actions like advance, protect and attack. As shown in the trailer, these weird creatures march in group and defeat giant monsters standing in their ways. Treasures and weapons can be obtained after killing these monsters which can then be used to make stronger weapons and strengthen your army in a village. There will be a few mini games to keep players entertained while at the village as well. The game uses French artist Rolito’s artworks and they are really amazing to look at, check them out here.
