I wonder why they get to review this so fast, more than two months before the game’s official US launch (reviewing the Japanese version perhap?), but Play Magazine has given Monster Hunter Freedom 2 a really cool 9.0 score in their latest issue. The reviewer has clocked in more than 250 hours and has this to say: “A truly unique setting, concept and characters, a meaty combat engine, arguably the best graphics on PSP and virtually endless replay value…what’s not to love?“. I couldn’t agree more, I have been blogging about the game for 3 months now and though I have reached the later part of the single player missions, I am only just at the beginning of the multiplayer portion, not to mention countless tasks to do in the training and treasure hunting. I am currently crazily addicted to the weapon upgrades, eager to show off to my multiplayer partners the new outfit I came out with. The US version is slated for release on August 28.
