Prinny Gets Side Scrolling Adventure On PSP
Prinny, the lovable penguin from the Disgaea series is getting its own adventure this November in Japan with Prinny: Orega Shujinkou Deiinsuka? (something like “Prinny: I’m the main character?” or better yet from runboard forum: “Prinny – Is it ok for me to be the main character, dood?“, the illustration above also shows Prinny wearing Laharl’s red scarf). Nippon Ichi, the series’ makers, has a teaser site opened for the title, with full launch on September 5th.
The title, which appears to be a side-scrolling action game, was also revealed in this week’s Dengeki PlayStation (scan after the jump) and listed at several online videogames retailers.
Game Star has more details on the action game. Etna had her favorite sweets stolen and order Prinny to search for the “Ultimate Sweets” or face a punishment more terrible than death… Among the features highlighted are the craziest difficulty level (apparently a challenge from NIS to action gamers of the world), 200% better pixel graphics, play data exchange (to show off your fascinating skills), plenty of hidden stuff for multiple play through and downloadable content (new maps and bosses) in future.
As shown in the hi-res scans, the graphics are indeed great, especially the details in the background. Time to vote for this in NIS America’s Lord Pram’s Wish List.
