PSP Slim This September 20th for Japan

Bloomberg has revealed the Japanese release date of the lighter and slimmer PSP-2000. The new Japanese models, to come out this September 20th, will also support 1Seg via a 6980 Yen (around $57) tuner. 1Seg is the mobile terrestrial digital audio/video and data broadcasting service in the country and can be found in several phone models (the Nintendo DS has the support via an add-on as well), this addition will allows Japanese users to watch digital tv broadcasts on the go.
Price for PSP-2000 is 19,800 yen (around $162), the same as current models but tax inclusive, apart from the system, the pack also includes an AC adapter and a 1200mAh battery pack. Via PSP GadgetZ.
Update: The official Japanese PSP website has been updated with the new release date, as well as three new colors (Piano Black, Ceramic White, and Ice Silver), collectively known as “Blume Series”. The current models will be have open pricing starting July 18th in Japan, which allows retailers to set their own, normally lower, price for the system.
