Sony confirmed what has been floating around the internet in the last few days, Skype is coming to a PSP-2000 near you at the end of the month. SCEJ has a press release on the news and major gaming news sites are reporting it now.

Apart from the afore mention PSP Slim & Lite, you will also need an Internet connection, memory stick and a separately sold microphone that can be connected via the USB port in order to use the service, more details can be read at IGN. The 1seg TV tuner is currently helping the system a lot in term of sales in Japan and it will be interesting to see what kind of effect this new feature will brings.
