Sony Reveals Improved PSP Sales

With the help of Slim & Lite, Sony says it managed to sell 13.39 units of PSP to the world in its last fiscal year (for the year ended March 31st, 2008), a 3.86 million increase from the previous fiscal year. There is a slight increase on the software front too with 55.5 million copies of PSP games sold, up from 54.7 million of FY 2007. The strong performance leads Sony to expect that it should be able to sell 15 million units during the year ending March 31st, 2009. Overall, the PlayStation division sees an increase in sales and managed to narrow it’s losses by 107.8 billion yen.
