Square Enix released a press statement announcing a trio of mobile games based on the Kingdom Hearts franchise. PSP will gets Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, the DS gets Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and Japanese mobile phones owners can expect Kingdom Hearts: Coded. Famitsu reported the game from Square Enix’s “Closed Mega Theater” as well, I haven’t played the previous games in the series, but here’s what has been mentioned.

The game will have three new characters, one of them a black-haired character and appears to look like Roxas, the time frame seems to be way before the original Kingdom Hearts and the new character is called “Venn”. Others characters shown in the trailer are the old man from Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Terra. Most of the actions in the trailer appears to take place in a Hollow Bastion-like wasteland, another location mentioned is Olympus Colosseum from Disney’s Hercules.

Birth by Sleep will be developed by Square Enix themselves and there is no dates being announced at the moment. Find out more at Famitsu.
