Owners of Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops +, if you are at the Makuhari Messe convention center for the Tokyo Game Show 2007 now, there are two special recruits to be found via the AP Scan mode, the solider recruiting system that the game employs. The new and “rare” soldiers are Chiba Soldier (top screen), a reference to the city that the show is being held and Black Gene Soldier.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops + went on sale yesterday, apparently 50,000 copies were sold and went out of stock in some places. Looks like there will be more for PSP from the series soon, a post from the game artist Ashley Wood’s blog triggered a sequel rumor but there is still no confirmation on that.
