Tetsuya Nomura was interviewed by Famitsu at Square Enix’s Closed Mega Theatre, nothing new were revealed but here’s what he has to say about the PSP games on show. My bad little translation after the jump, for his take on the other games, visit IGN’s translation of the article.
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
Aqua battle scenes were shown for the first time with plenty of fast moving scenes that are easy to miss if viewers are not concentrating enough.
The 3rd Birthday
Previous trailer shows some abstract concept of the game but this time, it’s a totally new trailer and a scenario’s event scene was shown. Some of the scene are pre-rendered but it will be close to the actual game. The PV also give the public their first look at the “Twisted” enemy and also a returning character (Gemaga says it’s Kyle Madigan from Parasite Eve II).
Dissidia Final Fantasy
First ever playable 3D model of the characters from FFV and FFVI (Bartz and Terra) were shown. Famitsu asked if there is any difficulties in the character design process, to which Nomura says the design process starts with Yoshitaka Amano’s key visuals until a unified visual is established. Amano’s illustrations are constantly being referred to for the smaller details.
Nomura also said that he is very serious about the design on the can of the Suntory made “Dissidia Final Fantasy Potion” but some minor differences will exist between the in-game design and those on the can. His illustration will also appears in the game’s character selection screen.
Final Fantasy Agito XIII
The trailer shown is the same as the one in DKΣ3713.
