See The New PSP Features In BlazBlue Portable Debut Trailer

Arc System Works popular 2D fighter is coming to PSP in Japan next February. BlazBlue Portable’s official website opened yesterday with this cool new trailer that show off the new features for PSP. Besides support for local multiplayer, a couple of new modes will be introduced (Legion Mode and Shop Mode) and players will be able to play in the Unlimited Form of the existing characters. The game will be out next February both as UMD ($48.90 at Play-Asia) and downloadable version (¥4,500).

More Crossover: Falcom To Announce Ys Vs Sora no Kiseki

The next company to give its series the 3D fighting treatments is Falcom, who is set to announce Ys Vs Sora no Kiseki this week based on early leaks of the latest issue of DengekiPlayStation. As the title suggests, the game will features characters from two of the company most popular series, those confirmed so far appeared to be Adol, Dogi (screen with them in Ys Seven above) and Olha for Ys with Joshua, Tita and Estelle representing Sora no Kiseki. They will be featured in the story mode and up to four characters can join a battle. The game will come out sometime next year in Japan.

Falcom latest loves for PSP doesn’t ends there as the company also announce the port of Ys: The Oath in Felghana to our system next April. Hope both of them will come to US eventually but at this moment, I will be happy to see both Ys I&II Chronicles and Ys Seven get translated.

Naruto Shippuuden: Narutimate Accel 3

The latest Shonen Jump (click on image for large view) reveals that three of the character in The Six Paths of Pain are playable for Naruto Shippuuden: Narutimate Accel 3, with the rest playing the support role. Again, the release date is December 10th in Japan. Play-Asia also has the Asia version for $5 cheaper ($49.90).

BlazBlue Coming To PSP With Legion Mode, First Screens Inside

Wonder how Arc System Works‘ popular fighter BlazBlue would translate into PSP? I think it looks pretty sharp! For those who didn’t know, BlazBlue Portable has been announced for PSP for release next February in Japan. Besides the 12 characters including their Unlimited forms and the expected Ad Hoc support, there is an original mode for PSP called “Legion Mode”. The mode (screen here) will has you fight your enemies one by one, making them your allies by defeating them in preparation for the boss battle. More screens after the jump.

Marvelous Bringing More “Costume Destruction” Actions With New Ikki Tousen

Some of you may remember Marvelous’ side scrolling fighter Ikki Tousen Eloquent Fist that came out last fall. Like the anime series it’s based on, the game features girls getting their clothes torn off if they got hit. The publisher has just announced it’s sequel, which will be called Ikki Tousen Xross Impact and set for release April next year. The game will features even more outrageous finishing skills, six new playable characters to make it 22 in total, a new system called “Bakunyu Cross Rumble” (pick two character and switch between them easily, also available for Ad Hoc Mode battle), new original characters and story (take place after the episodes of Ikki Tousen: Great Guardians).

Katekyoo Hitman Reborn! Returns With Tag Battle

Katekyoo Hitman Reborn! Kizuna no Tag Battle

Katekyoo Hitman Reborn! Battle Arena 2 Spirit Burst just came out on PSP last month in Japan but Marvelous already announced the next game in the fighting series. Katekyoo Hitman Reborn! Kizuna no Tag Battle will be a team-based 3D Tag Battle with players selecting two characters for matches. Series’ creator Akira Amano will be providing two original characters (a male and female) for the game. The release date is set for February 25th.

Tales of VS: Cotton Candy Is The Best Jump Weapon

The final pre-release report of Tales of VS. in the latest issue of Shonen Jump (click for full view) is the official announcement of a special website for players to download “SP Battle”. Players can also download special weapons from the site with a password and the first such weapon is a Cotton Candy, which apparently is the best jump weapon for the game (the password for this is JUMPSPBATTLEWJVJ). To connect, just click “Connection” on the Mode Select screen of the game and “Network Communication” on the next screen. Tales of VS. is out this Thursday in Japan.
